Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. The couple relocated to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five and enrolled in at the Dragon School. At the age of six, Emma was aware she would like to be an actress and for a number of years she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school in which she was taught performing and singing. In a school play and an Stagecoach production, Emma took as the lead role at age 10, and acted.
